Introduction

I am going to tell you that in searching for my own starting points in creating an online business, I have identified the trends common to a majority of these money making systems and so called business opportunities.

The majority of the opportunities to be found in the search engines, newspapers or on ebay are all cleverly devised to encourage the reader to invest their money in the product they promoting. In the case of many of them the product is the actual information on what the system is about and how you can use it to your benefit.

Now I’m not saying these opportunities are a complete waste of time and so should be avoided at all costs. In fact, I would even go as far as to tell you to go and look at some of them – even pay for some of them and learn as I have what makes them so clever.

At this point, many similar publications would be involving you to look at screenshots of the authors Paypal account showing thousands upon thousands going through the account in the space of a few weeks.

As soon as you had finished reading the figures in the screenshots they would be rushing in to tell you how, in only a few simple steps, you can achieve the same results.

Most of these publications are produced by the internet marketing experts who spend most of their time telling you about the so-called guru’s who are making six figure sums every month and have finally revealed their secrets methods of success to the author of the book and given him exclusive permission to sell the information to you so that you can rush off and start making your fortune.

I’m not saying that these people don’t exist. In fact quite the opposite, I know that they do and I also know that they are making money from the information they are putting out in the Internet.

Bur, ask yourself one question. If you had the secret recipe that guaranteed everything you touched turned to gold, would you waste your time selling to everyone else so they could do it too?

You see, the thing with any new scheme produced by these gurus is that it is all based on information they have been using for some time.

Most of the information you will have purchased is viable and useable stuff that has been proven to make people money before it is sold to you.

But that is the point.

The majority of these schemes and methods work on the “secret formula” developed by these marketing experts. They have been using them with considerable success because it is their method.

Once their method has been all but exhausted, they have already developed the next trick and sell on the previous ones to the rest of us so that they can make even more money and we can all rush out and try to implement a system that is not only already exhausted but is also being used by every other marketer on the internet.

Or am I just being cynical?
